It’s January, the magic and excitement of the Christmas festivities are over and we’re facing the New Year with brand new hopes and dreams. It is a time notorious for ‘blue feelings’, but there is no such thing as Blue January here in Liverpool. The city has a jam-packed schedule of events to suit everyone throughout the year, as quickly as the Christmas lights disappear new and exciting things to do are popping up along our waterfront to get 2023 off to another fabulous start.

For the Whole Family- Chinese New Year
Across the City Centre- Sunday 22nd January
We are heading into the Year of the Rabbit and as always Liverpool has a full schedule of events to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Thousands of Chinese lanterns will adorn the streets around the city centre and a number of landmark buildings will light up in celebration. On Sunday 22nd visitors can expect a jam-packed day of traditional street food, stalls, storytelling, art workshops, parades, performances and even a funfair.
Don’t miss this years extra-special fiery finale by Bring the Fire, followed by a light projection show at the Bombed Out Church.

There’s a fresh buzz in the air ever since Liverpool was chosen to host this years Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine (and really, was there ever anywhere better in the UK for it?!). Liverpool is historically a city of music and music lovers, and for those that just cannot wait for May we are lucky enough to have last years contestant Sam Ryder here in March on his ‘There’s Nothing but Space, Man!’ Tour.
