2. Responsibilities for All Team Members
2.1 Energy Reduction
Switch off lights, AV, heating/cooling, and equipment when not in use.
Use natural light where possible.
Report faulty sensors or equipment.
2.2 Waste Management & Recycling
Separate waste correctly: glass, plastics, tins, cardboard, paper, and food.
Avoid contamination of recycling bins.
Reduce single-use items.
Choose digital documents when possible.
2.3 Water Conservation
Use minimal water when cleaning.
Report leaks immediately.
2.4 Sustainable Purchasing & Suppliers
Prioritise reusable materials.
Support local, ethical suppliers.
Ensure vendors follow our waste and packaging policies.
2.5 Sustainable Events (All Departments)
Reuse décor and equipment where possible.
Minimise packaging during setup and breakdown.
Encourage guests to use sustainable travel options.
2.6 Protection of Heritage Building
Treat fixtures, walls, lifts, and floors with care.
Keep service areas tidy to avoid damage.
3. Annual Green Training Requirements
All staff must:
Complete annual sustainability training.
Read and understand the Green Policy.
Pass the annual sustainability quiz.
Take part in the annual improvement workshop.
